Move forward from what happened.
Trauma therapy in New Westminster, grounded in the neuroscience of trauma — for single events, childhood experiences, and the ways the past still shows up in the present.
If the past still has a hold on you, that makes sense.
Trauma isn’t about being weak or stuck. It’s how a nervous system protects itself after something overwhelming. We work with that, gently and at your pace.
Trauma lives in the body, not just the story.
Trauma isn’t only a memory — it’s the way an experience reshapes the nervous system so that the body keeps responding as if the danger is still here. That’s why you can know, logically, that you’re safe, and still feel hypervigilant, jumpy, numb, or flooded. It can come from a single event, from childhood, or from years of something that never felt safe.
Because trauma is held in the body and the nervous system, talking about it alone often isn’t enough — and pushing too hard, too fast can make things worse. The work has to be paced, and it has to feel safe.
Trauma takes many forms.
We start with safety and go at a pace you set. These are areas I work with regularly.
How I help.
My trauma work draws on the neuroscience of trauma, IFS, attachment, and Bodynamics — approaches that work with the body and nervous system, not just the narrative. We begin with safety and stabilisation: building the skills to stay grounded, so that whatever we touch, you don’t get overwhelmed.
I won’t promise a particular timeline or rush you toward anything. What I can offer is a steady, paced process and practical tools, so the past takes up less room in your present and you feel more in control of your own body and reactions.
Ready when you are.
